BluFish’s lure is cooking specialties from the sea.

BluFish is one-half of a “unique and ultimate combo bistro experience” with its contemporary coastal cooking. Whereas its sister restaurant, The Flying Pig, is literally swarming with meat eaters, BluFish is on the other hand, a seafood haven.

The Vibe: Classic and hip at the same time, the place has a bar atmosphere, with cool blue lights on the walls and reflective silver trays from the ceilings. BluFish opts to be retro with minimalistic designs exuding laid-back stylishness. House music reverberates all over the place, yet the resto can still warrant as family dinner-time or a dinner date go-to place.

The Crowd: Families, merry diners and occasional wine connoisseurs who take their seafood and wine pairing seriously occupy seats at this resto.

Best Seat: Snag the comfortable center benches in the house, which offers a view of mall-goers strutting their wares through the glass panes.

Must-try on the Menu: Bestsellers include the Moroccan Sea Bass (P 95/100 grams), a delectable fish with yummy couscous with an option to mix in pasta or rice for those who want to go carb-heavy. The BluFish Signature Salad (P 495) is a healthy and tasty choice with fried oysters, feta cheese and crabsticks sitting on a healthy bed of greens sprinkled with Italian balsamic dressing. Other hearty dishes like the New England Crab & Lobster Boil (P1,125) and the Singaporean Chili Crab (P145/100 grams) are fresh picks for the seafood-hungry.

Signature Drinks: Seafood is best paired with white wine and BluFish’s wine selection is moderately extensive. Fun cocktails and mocktails are also on the list, and one can order drinks from The Flying Pig, as they share the same beverage list. Sip on the Iced Tea Riviera (P80) and the Sparkling Fruit Soda (P85), refreshing drinks to go with your seafood plates.

BluFish is located at the 1st Level, Eastwood Mall, Eastwood City Libis, Quezon City with telephone number 900-0886.

  3. i love blackbeard’s seafood island by red crab, but wasn’t very impressed by fish out of water. i’m not really sure if i’m willing to give this new resto a go. the flying pig seems more to my liking. :)
